Services Thursday For J. Henderson (October 1945)

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Knopsnyder chapel for John Henderson , 49 year old Colton resident, who died at St. Vincent's hospital in Los Angeles Monday night.

Rev. V. K. Ledbetter, pastor of the Baptist church, was in charge of the service. Mesdames Mary Lillian and Claudia Mae Cooley sang two duets, "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Rock of Ages", accompanied by Mrs. Marian Bailey, organist.

The deceased who had lived here for the past 19 years was a native of Missouri. He was an employee of the Colton Cement company.

Survivors include the widow Mrs. Lora Henderson and two sons, Ralph and Robert, of Colton.

Interment was made in the Hermosa cemetery under the direction of I. M. Knopsnyder and Son.
