Mildred A. (Adams) Hunter (nee Barnes), age 85 of Griffith, IN passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2009.
She is survived by one son, Ken (Glenda) Adams; one daughter, Mildred (Greg) Drinski; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters: Mary (Larry) Lieberman, Frances Roy Douglas, Kitty (Fred) Craven and Charlotte (Joseph) Mansavage; daughter-in-law, Janice Adams; son-in- law, Gene Brownwell. Preceded in death by two husbands: John L. Hunter of 22 years and Earl "Smokey" Adams of 33 years; daughter, Carol Ann Brownwell; son, David Adams; and three sisters: Anna Mae Quandt, Nellie Dell and Margaret Klebofski.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Mary Church, Griffith with Rev. Theodore Mens officiating.
Burial at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, IN. Prayer service Friday at 7:30 p.m. Mildred was a member of St. Mary's Church of Griffith.
