THORNTOWN - Mrs. Sarah Fairfield, 52, died at 10 AM Saturday, July 10, 1976, in St. Vincent's Hospital at Indianapolis, where she had been a patient 2 1/2 weeks. Born in Boone County, she was a graduate of Thorntown High School. She was married in 1942 to Ernest W. Fairfield, and he survives. Mrs. Fairfield was a member of Thorntown Baptist Church.
Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Emma Lou Shelley of Lebanon; two sons, Jerry and Ernest Fairfield, both of Thorntown; a brother, Allen Riley of Thorntown; and five sisters, Mrs. Martha Fall of Thorntown, Mrs. Edith Veach, Mrs. Elizabeth Veach, Mrs. Ella Meeks, all of Lebanon, and Mrs. Maggie Favors of Kirklin.
