He was baptized on 20 October 1723 in the Runney Marsh Unitarian Church in Chelsea, Massaschusetts. He married Hannah Marcy on 19 June 1746 in Woodstock, Connecticut with Abel Stiles performing the ceremony. He removed to Wilbraham, Massachusetts about 1750. In Doten's book on the Hampden Cemetery, it states under "Veterans Killed" that Isaac Skinner was killed by Indians.
