Erma Hagen, age 87, of Dickinson, North Dakota, formerly of Glendive, Montana, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at St. Luke's Home in Dickinson.
Erma was born on January 1, 1920 in Aiken, Minnesota, the daughter of James B. and Carrie Alzina (Lease) Crockett. She was raised and educated in Bloomfield, Montana and attended Dawson County High School in Glendive. Following her education, she was united in marriage to Grant Hagen on October 28, 1945 in Helena, Montana. They ranched east and farmed north of Glendive. They also had a house in Glendive. Grant preceded her in death in 1967. Erma continued to live in Glendive until 1999 when she moved to Dickinson to be with her daughter. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing the piano and violin and painting. She had worked as a reading assistant at Lincoln School in Glendive.
Erma was preceded in death by her daughter, Juanita; five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Ackerman of Mesa, Arizona, Jackie Woodley and her husband Gary of Hampton, Iowa and Sandra Hoepfner of Dickinson, North Dakota; her son, Grant "Gary" Hagen Jr. and his wife Jan of Johnson City, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
