HARVEY: Peacefully, at Parkwood Hospital, London, Friday, August 15, 2008, Claude Henry Harvey, age 87, formerly of Grand Bend and London. Beloved husband of the late Rita Mary (Heaney) Harvey (2004). Loved father of Douglas Harvey of London. Loving grandpa of Bradley Harvey (Pte CF) of Edmonton and Rachel Harvey of London. Kindly remembered by his daughter-in-law Wendy Malpage of London. Remembered also by his step-brother Norman Aird of Verdun, sister-in-law Madeline Guimond of Laval, Terry Traynor of Calgary, Marjorie Heaney of Hamilton and his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his brother Douglas Harvey, step-brother William Aird, parents Henry Tyley and Christena Stewart (Douglas) Harvey. A graveside service will take place at the Parkhill Cemetery, Parkhill, Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Harry Disher officiating. Royal Canadian Legion, Grand Bend Branch No. 498 will conduct a service at the graveside. Claude served with the Princess Patricia Regiment during WWII, seeing action in Africa, Italy and Holland. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army or charity of choice would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff of Parkwood Hospital and the Exeter Villa for their affectionate care and kindness to Claude. T.
