Final Rites for Mrs. C. Y. Berry

Mrs. C. Y. Berry died at the Poplarville hospital on Wednesday morning, November 1, about 11: 30 a.m. following a Caesarian operation. Mr. and Mrs. Berry were from the Broom community near Lucedale.

Mrs. Berry was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Smith of the Savannah community. She was born in Pearl River county December 5, 1905, and has many friends throughout this section.

Funeral services were conducted at the Juniper Grove Baptist church Thursday afternoon with Rev. Wade Smith and Rev. D. W. Nix officiating. Mrs. Berry was a member of the Pine Grove Methodist Church in George county.

Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Berry is survived by one daughter, Paula Christine Berry, one step-daughter, Helen K. Berry, and an infant son; also, three brothers, Curtis and J. C. Smith of Poplarville, and Ulvses Smith of Drew; and one sister, Mrs. Opal Blossman of Covington, La.

Interment in Juniper Grove cemetery with McDonald Funeral Home in charge.
