Flora Ann Phelps, 91 years of age, of Liberty, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was born in Argyle, Kentucky on March 27, 1918 to the late James and Pearl Warren Phelps. She was a member of the Valley Oak Baptist Church in Casey County, Kentucky.
She was survived by a daughter, Judy (and Tim) Elliott of Brown Ridge, Kentucky; a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Phelps Warren of West Science Hill, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Carol Wesley, Sherry Dick, Scott Elliott, Tracy Elliott; six great-grandchildren, Trina Stephens, Ray Wesley, Justin Dick, Tyler Elliott, Amanda Elliott, Samuel Elliott; two great-great-grandchildren, Curtis Stephens, Kayla Stephens and several nieces, nephews and friends who mourn her passing.
Along with her parents, James and Pearl Warren Phelps she was preceded in death by a son, Junior Phelps; four brothers, Taft, George, Oakley, Thomas Phelps and seven sisters, Abby Godby, Clarey Phelps, Clairsy Phelps, Cora Phelps, Maurine Elliott, Mae Wesley, Della Byrd.
Visitations were held on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Bro J.S. New officiating.
Interment followed in the Valley Oak Cemetery in Casey County, Kentucky.
