DECATUR - Donald A. Brooks, 66, of Decatur died 2 a.m. Thursday (July 18, 1996) in his residence.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: DMH Hospice.
Mr. Brooks was born in Lampasas, Texas, on Dec. 13, 1929, the son of James and Grace Bagby Brooks. He was retired from BorgWarner and then from Climate Control. He was a member and elder of the Worldwide Church of God. He married Betty Torbert on Oct. 4, 1952.
Surviving are his parents of Lampasas, Texas; wife of Decatur; son, Richard of Bryan, Texas; daughter, Rita Allen and husband Ronnie of Urbana; brother, Troy Sr. of Coppers Cove, Texas; grandchildren, Derek and Bryan Allen of Urbana.
