MRS. W.H. PERRY DIED; FUNERAL SERVICE THURSDAY
Mrs. Minnie M. Perry, a resident of Haxtun for 42 years, died at her home Monday morning at 10:00 o'clock following a lingering illness.
Mrs. Perry, who was 68 years of age, was born February 3, 1879 in Pottawattamie County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Nancy Monteith. On November 26, 1894 she was united in marriage to Harry W. Perry at Albia, Iowa. They made their home there until 1905 when they moved to Haxtun where they have since resided.
She was a member of the Methodist church of Haxtun and the Rebekah lodge.
She is survived by her husband, a brother, John Monteith of Denver, and a sister, Mrs. Samuel Allen of Haxtun.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon in the Methodist church at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. Paul K. Corley, pastor of the church in charge.
Interment will be in Haxtun cemetery.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. PERRY LAST THURSDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. W.H. Perry were conducted Thursday afternoon, October 30, at 2:00 o’clock at the Haxtun Methodist church, with Rev. Paul K. Corley, pastor of the church in charge.
A quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle W. Griffith and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gall, furnished music for the service, accompanied by Mrs. Charles F. Becker, organist.
Pallbearers were Messrs. Harold Pond, Hubert Brown, Howard B. Prouty, Earl Scott, A.R. Haskins and Ace Goddard.
Interment was in the Haxtun cemetery.

Minnie Maude Perry was born February 3, 1879 in Pottawattamie County, Iowa, and departed this life at 10:15 a.m., October 27, 1947, at the age of 68 years, eight months and 25 days, after a long illness which became worse with time.
She was the daughter of John and Nancy Gladson Monteith.
She was married to W.H. Perry, November 26, 1894 at Albia, Iowa and resided at Columbia, Iowa until 1905 when they established their home one mile east of Haxtun. They would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in one month.
To this union was born one son, Claudie, who died in infancy. In 1911 they took Lloyd Monteith as their son whom she loved as her own. She was a kind and a loving wife, and received great happiness from her three granddaughters.
She held membership in the Methodist church of Haxtun and was charter member in the Rebekah lodge of Haxtun.
A brother, Daniel S. Monteith, preceded her in death.
Surviving Mrs. Perry in addition to her husband and foster son are a sister, Mrs. I.S. Allen, of Haxtun, a brother, John Monteith of Denver, three granddaughters, Gloria Lu, Nancy Lee and Rosalie Monteith of Inglewood, California, three nieces and two nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
