*** Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Radford funeral home for Mrs. D.S. Monteith, 48, who passed away at her home in Haxtun Friday afternoon, Mrs. Monteith had been ill since Tuesday with influenza, but death came suddenly following a stroke Friday. She is survived by her husband, D.S. Monteith, a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Gallagher of Gallup, New Mexico, besides other relatives and friends. Burial was in the Haxtun cemetery.
