Son of Constantine & Hannah (Gifford) Hughes. Married Clarrisa Smith Oct 15, 1846. Constantine & Clarrisa were the parents of Reuben, Constantine, Martha, John, Mary, Susan, Cordelia, Judith, Asa, & George. Clarrisa died May 14 1891 and was buried at Lake Cemetery, Republic, KS. After the death of Clarrisa, Constantine married Sarah Price in 1892. Sarah Ann (Falkner) Price (1854-1930) was the Mother-in-law of Constantine's son Asa. When Sarah died on Jan 30, 1930 she was buried beside her first husband Thos. Price at the Falkner Cemetery, rural Jerseyville, IL USA
