Edward was born in Bridgwater, Somerset Co, England and immigrated to US in May 1870 on the ship JAVA from Liverpool, England. He was naturalized on Oct 27, 1875 in Morris Co, KS. After the death of his 1st wife, Jemima Alice Dasher Carter, Edward moved to Wallace Co, KS where he married Ploma A. Carter in 1892. There he died in 1938.
