OLIVIA A. SCHULTZ, 88, of New Haven, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne. Born in Hayesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Rev. William and Loatie Ayres. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven and the Ladies Society. She was also a charter member of the New Haven's Womens Club. She retired in 1978 after 50 years as a Registered Nurse, 25 of those years working for Dr. Edwin Stumpf. She is survived by her children, Dr. Kay Thacker of Littleton, Colo., Kenneth (Linda) Schultz, Jr., William (Peggy) Schultz and Robert Schultz, all of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Kenneth Schultz, Sr., in 1981; brother, William Ayres, Jr.; and sister, Virginia Whiteside. Service is 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green Street, New Haven, with calling one hour prior at the church. The Rev. Gary Schultz and Pastor David Stecker officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Road 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven or Central Lutheran School.
