James Harmon, 83, a county resident for about 60 years passed away at 11:45 this morning at his home at 1023 Harlan street.
Mr. Harmon had been in ailing health for the past two years.
Born in Missouri Sept. 9, 1865, Mr. Harmon came to Richardson county when a young man and at one time was employed by the Burlington railroad.
His wife preceded him in death. Mr. Harmon is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Corning of Falls City, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The body of Mr. Harmon is at the Dorr-Philpot funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
