Wendell Wayne Worrell, former Danville resident, age 55, died, Tuesday morning, in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis, following an extended illness. A native of Danville, he was born, June 1, 1915, the son of Lee and Opal Holtsclaw Worrell of Lizton, who survive. On August 26, 1938, he was married to the former Mary Smith in Danville, also a survivor. A resident of 4011 Alden Avenue, Indianapolis, he had been employed with the Allison Division of General Motors for many years. He was a graduate of Lizton High School; member of the Maplewood Christian Church; Wayne Post of the American Legion; and Western Star Masonic Lodge No. 26.
Masonic services will be, this evening, 7:30 o'clock, from the Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with final rites, Friday afternoon, 1 o'clock, there. The Rev. Albert Wineinger will officiate with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Surviving with the widow and parents are a son, Ed Worrell, Camby; two brothers, Clyde Worrell, Brownsburg, and Paul Worrell, Indianapolis; and one sister, Miss Marjorie Worrell, Lizton.
