Anna Leona Hoopes Hannum, 97, of Downingtown, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999 at the Hickory House Nursing Home, Honey Brook Township.
She was the widow of George H. Hannum.
Born in Downingtown, she was the daughter of the late James Day and Rebecca S. Bones Hoopes and lived in Downingtown all of her life.
She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Downingtown.
She was past president of Alert Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Downingtown, a member of the Downingtown Senior Center, Past President of Lyndell Christian Temperance League, and was a member of the Hoopes Family Organization, Inc. She is survived by a son, Donald H. Hannum of Wagontown, two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Ralston and Bredickas Funeral Home, Inc., 107 West Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Northwood Cemetery, East Caln Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Downingtown Senior Center, 751 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335.
