Patty Ann Huyser passed away on October 27, 2008 at the Belleview, Washington Hospital after experiencing a stroke on October 19, 2008.

Services were conducted at the Washington Cathedral, Redmond, Washington on November 1, 2008.

Patty was born in Iowa City, Iowa on March 4, 1938. At age seven Everett and Ethel Tyrell of Monroe, Iowa adopted her. She married Orland Huyser on February 26,1955. They had two children, Kevin and Phillip. In 1998 Patty and Orland relocated to Redmond, Washington.

Patty was an excellent cook and loved to share her skills with family, friends and her church by baking over eight hundred cookies for the annual Christmas pageant. While in Pella, Patty was employed at the Strawtown Inn and several other Pella area restaurants. Most recently, she worked at the Redmond Safeway store where she was greatly appreciated by her fellow employees for her helpful and positive spirit.

Patty is survived by her husband, Orland, two sons, Kevin and his wife Louise, and Phillip, her sister, Mickey Pomenvich; and many other relatives and friends. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Couples, and brothers Larry Weiser and Bobby Brown.
