Wallace K. Keely served as a Sergeant in Company K, 15th U.S. Infantry Regiment, United States Army during the Spanish-American War.

He was a son of William S. Keally and Katie Kemmery Keally.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army on April 28, 1898 at Gretna, Pennsylvania.

He then served in Company K, 15th U.S. Infantry from November 16, 1898 to November 15, 1901.

He received his discharge from the Army on November 15, 1901 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He was originally from Zeiglerville, Pennsylvania.

SPANISH WAR VET TO BE BURIED MONDAY

Wallace K. Keely, 73, Spanish-American War veteran, and native of Biglerville, who was well known here through many visits in recent years, died Thursday in a home for the aged at Newtown, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia. He will be brought here for burial in the National Cemetery.

Mr. Keely served in the army from 1898 to 1902 and held the rank of Sergeant in Company K, 15th Regiment Infantry.

Military rites will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock in the National Cemetery. The American Legion will provide bearers and a color guard and the firing squad will be furnished by the post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The local post of the United Spanish War Veterans will conduct services at the grave.
