James R. Dumas Age 72, late of Lockport. Passed away Friday August 28, 2009 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet. Born in Redford MI, living in Lockport the past 30 years. Survived by his loving family; wife, Marion M. (nee Kraft); sons, Brian, Timothy and James (Angie Deichet) Dumas; step-daughters, Jodi (Mike) Currant and Jan (Mickey Oith) Clark; granddaughter Paige Dumas; six step-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Tom (Brenda) Bellman who helped care for him for 12 years; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Jackie (Dennis) Strong and Diane (Gary) Lawhan; brothers-in-law, Jim (Jan) Kraft, Grant Simpson and Dennis Wilcox. Preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Lucille (nee Devine) Dumas; two brothers and three sisters. James was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and a member of Lockport American Legion John Olsen Post #18. Inurnment, Thursday September 3, 2009 at 12 Noon at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
