AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Annette Berry Barton (72) entered into rest on Monday, August 31, 2009 at her residence. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Westover Memorial Park, 2601 Wheeler Road, Augusta, GA. 30904, with Rabbi Robert Klensin officiating. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond O. (R.O.) Barton, Jr.; her parents, Rose and Nathan Berry; and her brother, Marvin (Bookie) Berry all of Columbia, SC. Mrs. Barton was a native of Columbia, SC, having made Augusta her home for the last 52 years. She was a member of Congregation Children of Israel - Walton Way Temple, The Augusta Country Club and was an avid golfer and bridge player, having achieved Life Master. She liked nothing better than to be with her friends on the golf course or at the bridge table. Annette went back to college after many years and graduated from Augusta College in 1988. She owned and operated The Frame Shoppe for over 20 years. Survivors include her beloved son and daughter, Neil Berry and Kathy Berry; sister-in-law, Cydney Berry; Nephews, Kirk Berry and Scott Berry, and his wife Gina, all of Columbia, SC; a step-son, Raymond O. "Rocky" Barton and his wife Jane; one grandson, T.J. Barton and his wife, Christy; and two great grandchildren. Her poodle, Gabby, was a wonderful companion and comfort to her. The family would like to express sincere thanks and gratitude to Belinda Leverett, Maydene Willard, Marilyn Rollins and Regina Jackson. They are true angels.
