This morning Mrs. M. B. Gorsline received the sad news from Decatur, Ind., of the death of her mother, Mrs. Almira Hooper, at the age of 86 years. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. Last week Mrs. Hooper was taken seriously ill and Fort Wayne relatives were at her bedside. Saturday signs of improvement were noticeable and Mrs. Gorsline returned to Fort Wayne. The deceased was one of the oldest pioneer settlers in Adams County and had lived at Decatur ever since the village is known to have existed. Her husband was the late Judge Hooper who died about twenty-seven years ago.
