Funeral services for John S. Mires, 76, who died at a local hospital Monday, will be held at the Bair-Violette funeral home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Mires lived in Colville for the past two years, having come from Ferry County, where he was actively associated with court work. He moved to Colville and purchased the Osee W. Noble property upon which he constructed the Mires' apartments.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Karl J. May and Mrs. J. D. Yenter of Republic and Mrs. A. L. Blumenauer of California, and one sister, Mrs. H. J. Cole of Spokane.
