John Clugston Killed in Mill
John Clugston, a former local resident, met death while at work in the mill of the Gunpowder River Paper co. of Whitehall, Md. on February 17, 1916 according to word received here today. Mr. Clugston's coat caught in the gears of a machine, against which he was thrown with such force that his neck was broken. Death was instantaneous. Mr. Clugston, who was 55 years of age, is survived by the widow, one son and one daughter, all former local residents. The family has many friends here, who will regret to hear of the most unfortunate accident.
