Monday Services For Mrs. Merrell

Mrs. W. L. (Ada) Merrell, 83 long-time Navarro county resident died in the Navarro Clinic Sunday afternoon.
Funeral services were, held from the Eleventh Avenue Methodist church Monday at 3 p. m. Burial was in the Dresden cemetery. The rites were conducted by Rev. J. L. Davenport, pastor of the church and Rev. Tom Allmon, Baptist minister of Hubbard.

A native of Longview, Mrs. Merrell was reared in Navarro county and resided at various points in West Navarro county in addition to Corsicana and Oak Valley.

Her late husband, Wiley L. Merrell was a prominent figure In political and other circles for many years. Surviving are three sons, C. F. C. C. and Frank A. Merrell, all of Corsicana; three daughters, Mrs. T. J. Keathley and Mrs. David Donaho, both of Corsicana, and Mrs. Jack Bressie, Navarro; 2 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Hollingsworth, Corsicana, and Mrs. M. B. Hubbard, Houston, and other relatives.

Pallbearers were Alvin Merrell Albert Merrell, Don Donaho, Jackie Bressie, Charles Cravens, J. A. Penney and D. F. Fields, grandsons.
