Harriett R. Lex was born to Daniel and Martha Workman Ream on June 10, 1878 in Preston, Minnesota. She passed away at the Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, Oregon on February 19, 1969. She has been a Newport resident for the past twenty years and was a widow of William J. Lex, who passed away in 1950.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Eunice Lanier of South Beach, Oregon, and Mrs. Marjorie N. Richardson of Reedsport, Oregon; one son, Erwin R. Lex of Portland, Oregon; five grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
