She married John Proctor (son of Joseph & Alys (Singleton) Proctor) in Prairie du Long, Monroe County, Illinois on 19 Jan 1850.

John, Nancy & their children moved to California in 1853 and bought 80 acres of land about 2 miles from Centerville, Alameda County, CA for farming. John & Nancy had 3 children together: Eliza, Mary & Alice.
