He was born on October 22, 1915 in Deerfield Township, Michigan to William and Anna (Brown) Browers. He graduated from Morley High School in 1933. Donald served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in the Michigan Upper Peninsula. He served in the United States Army during WWII for 4 years. He was also a 4-H leader for many years. Donald loved to hunt, fish and garden.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marie in 1997.
Donald is survived by his children Bruce (Mary) of Duluth, Scott (Linda) of Searcy, AR and Marcia of Biggar Saskatchewan, Canada; 7 grand-children; 1 great-grand-child; brothers and sisters Rosaleen Dishong, Donna Anton, and Doug all of Michigan; also several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on October 28, 2006 from 1 PM until the 2 PM Funeral Service in Handevidt Funeral Home, 900 Washington Avenue, Cloquet. Interment in Silverbrook Cemetery, Wrenshall, MN. Military honors will be accorded with the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard. Memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army or the Wrenshall Presbyterian Church building fund.
