In 1970 when I transcribed this stone for a project I was working on, the following was visible:

In memory of Marcy, wife of the late John Taylor, who died April 17th, 1847, AEt. 79 years.

Oh happy dead in the that sleep
While o'er their mouldering dust we weep!
Oh faithful Saviour who shall come
That dust to ransome from the tomb.
(spelling exactly as it appeared on the stone)
