Dr. David Allen Dilley, 62, Pittsboro, died September 16, 2008. He retired from the ministry after serving 30 years and was employed with the U.S. Postal Service. David earned a Doctorate of Divinity from Salt Lake Baptist College and was a graduate of Tennessee Temple University. He was a veteran of the Navy and enjoyed model trains, woodworking, oil painting, and gardening. David was born December 5, 1945 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Reverend James Kyle Dilley and Catherine Dilley. In loving memory, David is cherished by his wife, Jane Alice Dilley; sons, Boyd Dilley (Stacie) and Daniel Dilley (Leah); grandchildren, Boyd, Jr., Conner, Kyle, Carissa, and Gavin; brothers, John Dilley, Ron Dilley, and Gerald Staum. Ceremonies to celebrate David's life are 1 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2008 at Brownsburg Baptist Church, of which he was a member, 1485 E. Main Street, Brownsburg, Indiana 46112. The calling is from 12 p.m. The family would like to acknowledge their heart-felt thanks for the many acts of kindness extended to them.
