Kathleen Clements Drewelow, a Prineville resident, passed away on Friday, Dec. 27, 2002 at her home. She was 95 years old.

Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at the Juniper Haven Cemetery.

Mrs. Drewelow was born on July 6, 1907 in Waverly, Minn., the daughter of James C. and Ann Katherine (Borell) Clements. She married Reinhart C. Drewelow on Oct. 1, 1929 in Waverly, Minn., who passed away on Aug. 18, 1970 in Prineville.

The family moved to Prineville in 1946 where they owned and operated a cattle ranch and grew potatoes in the Barnes Butte area. She later worked as a nurse's aid at Pioneer Memorial Hospital and retired in 1969.

She was a survivor of cancer, diabetes and Bells Palsey.

Mrs. Drewelow was a very active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and she received a Papal award in the 1970's for her service. She was also a member of the Altar Society, serving as president for 20 years. Mrs. Drewelow was also a member of the Lady Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge, Soroptimist Club, and was the Soroptimist Woman of the Year in 1984. She was also a very active volunteer at the Neat Repeat.

Mrs. Drewelow was also a member of the Lookout Mountain Grange, AARP, and the American Cancer Society. She enjoyed painting in oils, decoupage, story telling, and traveling. At the age of 75 she started walking five miles every day. She was well loved by her family and friends, and was known for her numerous random acts of kindness during her life.

Mrs. Drewelow is survived by her son Dave Drewelow of La Jolla, Calif.; daughters Anne Andrus of Morrison. Colo., and Maxine Gillespie of Prineville and Anandale, Va.; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Drewelow was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, and one sister.

It has been suggested that those wishing to make memorial contributions in Mrs. Drewelow's memory direct them to Pioneer Memorial Hospice at 1201 NE Elm St., Prineville, OR 97754.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Prineville Funeral Home.
