ISAAC SHOFFNER DIES; FUNERAL TO BE WEDNESDAY
Isaac C. Shoffner, 81, prominent retired farmer, died suddenly about 9 o'clock this morning at his farm home, three miles southeast of Jacksonville, where he had lived almost 50 years. Mr. Shoffner had not been well for some time but lately had seemed to be improving.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, W. G. Shoffner of St. Louis, and S. W. Shoffner and H. R. Shoffner of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Charles Shoffner of Jacksonville, Forrest Shoffner of Cairo, and Max Shoffner and Mrs. Vida Humphrey, both of St. Louis; four brothers, J. W. Shoffner and Billy Shoffner, both of Fort Collins, Colo., Finish Shoffner of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Amos Shoffner of Folson City, Cal., and several nephews and nieces.
Mr. Shoffner was a member of Union Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in his home and burial will be in Union church cemetery.
