Smith, Carrie C., daughter of Charles and Catherine Kopenhaver, was born Feb. 13, 1873, and died June 16, 1955, at the home of a daughter. She was a faithful member of the church for many years, serving as the first president of the ladies' aid society of the Mingo church. Survivors include five children, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one brother. Funeral services were held at the Mingo church by Joseph Cassel and Jesse Hoffman.
