ELLA VIOLA [JOHNSON] DIXON, 99, a resident of Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac, since 1995, died Tuesday (Feb. 12, 2002) at Tjardes Health Care Center of Evenglow Lodge Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Pontiac.

Mrs. Dixon was born Nov. 11, 1002, in Waldo Township, a daughter of Tolbert and Sephi Jones Johnson. She married James W Dixon on Nov. 16, 1918. in Pontiac. He died May 13,1974.

Survivors include three daughters, Frances (Lloyd) Schott, Odell; and AnnaBelle (Charles) Wiebers and Mildred (Bob) DeWeese, both of Pontiac; four sons, David (Frances) Dixon. Odell; James (Marian) Dixon Jr. and Dale (Myrna) Dixon, both of Pontiac; and Roger (Eunice) Dixon, Lacon; one brother. Bob Johnson of Michigan: two sisters. Betty Swift and Ethel Mills, both of Michigan; 24 grandchildren; 61great-grandchildren; 40 great-great-grandchildren; and two great great-great grandchi1dren. One son, Charles, preceded her in death. Also preceding are two grand-children. Rodney DeWeese and Brenda DeWeese; and two great-grandchildren, Damon McCoy and Ben Dixon.

She was a homemaker and had been employed at Winston Churchill College and Maple Rest Inn, both in Pontiac. She was educated in rural Flanagan schools. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pontiac.
