(May 16, 1935 - August 22, 2009)
For it is said in II Timothy 2:11 "If we died with him, we will also live with him."
Wayne Aldridge won the battle and went home to live with his Heavenly Father on August 22, 2009 at 1:22 a.m. at home surrounded by his loved ones.
A 1954 graduate of Manor High School, he later served on the school board there for 19 years. He was the business representative for Carpenters Local #1266, an officer of the Manville Water Board and served as an officer for the Building Trades. Together with his son, he developed a commercial building company named for his three granddaughters, KCM Construction and Interiors. Of his accomplishments, he was most proud of having designed and built his own homes, that of his in-laws and both his children.
Wayne was a reserved man who loved God, his family (both his own and at Victory Baptist Church) good friends, country music, hard work, anything mechanical, and the companionship of his terriers, Ruff, Rowdy, Rotten and Rose. He was devoted to and is survived by his dedicated caregiver and wife of over 53 years, Agnes, and to his children Darlene and Charles Lyda, and Rob and Martina Aldridge. Remembering their beloved "Buddy" are grandchildren Kristen and Garrett Black and son Rylan, Cameron and Dane Amthor with children, Navy, Baylor, Morgan and Maddie, Meghan and Bryan Taylor and Robbie Dalphonse. Wayne is also survived by his sister, Bobbie Bruton; sister-in-law, Jeanne Aldridge and many other loving family members.
Wayne's family and friends did not lose him; we know exactly where he is. For those who know the Lord, death is not "good-bye" but rather "see you later." God speed, Buddy.
Family wishes to thank the family, friends and church for the love, prayers, visits and calls. A special thanks to Dr. Kocs and staff, Out Patient of Round Rock, and Hospice Austin.
Funeral Services will include visitation at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown, Texas on Sunday, August 23, 2009 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Graveside services will be at the Liberty Hill Cemetery on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 2:30PM. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Victory Baptist Church, 13295 FM 2843, Salado, Texas 78571 in Wayne's name.
