Paul S. Wolfe, age 78, of 800 Windsor Court in Neosho, died at 6:05 am Saturday at the Neosho Senior Center after a five year illness.
Mr. Wolfe was born Oct 13, 1913 at Stella, MO. He had lived most of his life in this area. He was a member of the Chapel of the Ozarks in Rocky Comfort and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Paul married Susan Emma "Sue" Hazel in 1934 and together had a son, John M. Wolfe. They evidently divorced, as both remarried and carried on with their lives.
He farmed in the early part of his life and then worked 11 years from 1952 through 1963 as a Neosho Police officer. Mr. Wolfe was then a security officer at the Parsons Ammunnition Plant in Parsons, Kansas for eight years, retiring in 1971.
He married Dathon Butler on May 19, 1972 and she survives. Also surviving are: a son, John M. Wolfe of Raymond Wash.; three grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Tuesday at the Clark Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Billy Joe Gentry officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Neosho. Pallbearers will be Lewis Cole, Mike Cole, Jeff Cole, Rick Butler, Roy Thompson and Jerry Payne.
