Melvin D. Albright, age 81, of DeMotte-Roselawn area passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at his residence.
Melvin was born on November 11, 1927 in Jasper County to Flossie (Cox) and Melvin Albright, both deceased.
On July 1, 1950, Melvin married Edna Scripter, who survives. He was a #2 Mechanist for LTV Steel, East Chicago, IN and was with Steel Workers Union Local 1011. He was a member of Shelby Baptist Church, Shelby.
Melvin is survived by his loving wife, Edna Albright of DeMotte; daughter, Edna Hudak of Rensselaer; and son, Melvin (Wanda) Albright of DeMotte; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; sisters: Frances (Harold) Cooper of DeMotte and Audrey (Bob) Clark of Roselawn; brother, Earl (Pat) Albright of DeMotte. Preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Mike Hudak; four sisters; and two brothers. Friends and family may call on Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 12:00 noon-2:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Service, 200 Third St. SW, DeMotte, IN with Ron Gann officiating. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
