Albert H. Anderson of 1117 North Fifth street has returned from Grimes Iowa, where he went for the funeral of his father, John K. Anderson, who died at the age of 84 years, 5 months, and 19 days. He was a former resident of Quincy, having lived here until 1848, when he went to Grimes Iowa, where he lived until his death.

He was born in York county Pennsylvania, on September 23, 1830. He was married twice. His first wife was Miss Lucy Hanson, who, with four of the ten children born to them, was buried in Woodland cemetery at Des Moines, Iowa. The other six children are still living; one daughter and five sons, including Mr. Anderson, of this city.

The deceased married his second wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Ashley, on February 27, 1883, who survives him. All the children were at the funeral. They are: Mrs. Flavilla Grinnell, William H. Anderson, Charles A. Anderson, and John W. Anderson, all of Grimes Iowa; George A. Anderson of Madrid Iowa, and A. H. Anderson of Quincy.

There are also a number of relatives living near Quincy, including two nephews: Walter Berrian of near Eubanks, and Charles Hearth of South Twenty-fourth street.
