Funeral services for O'Dell Bradshaw, 67, of Eldridge, were held Oct. 9 at the Second Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles Henry Hufft and Benny Gard officiating. Burial was in the Hufft Cemetery.

Music was by the Second Baptist male quartet. Estcorts were Dan Bradshaw, Jim Stout, Charles Miller, Jim Simpson, James Berry, John Roth, Danny Atkinson, Wayne Basnett and Kenneth Caffey. Honorary escorts were Warren Dampier, John Bryant, Wando, Harold and Kenneth Moore, Russell Fohn, Murl Waterman, Fred Berry, Paul Odom, Gerald Knight, Bill O'Neil, Warren Smith, Bert Jones, Ed Peters, Leo Collins, James Atchley, Ed Miller, Don Weaver, T.J. Shadel, and Harold Wright.

O'Dell Bradshaw, son of Homer Edmund and Chlora Etta Hufft Bradshaw, was born Feb. 18, 1909, at Eldridge, and died Oct. 6 at his home in Eldridge.

On Sept. 1, 1933, he was united in marriage to Agnes Atkinson and to this union, one daughter was born.

O'Dell led a very active life. Besides his farming operation, he served as Laclede County Associate judge from 1971 to 1974. He was a member and deacon of Second Baptist Church, a member of Laclede County Saddle Club, and served on the Board of Directors at Hufft Cemetery, where a memorial fund has been established in his name.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Opel and Charles Edward.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes; one daughter, Clora Jane Giles; one grandson, Mark Giles of Florissant; a brother, L.D., of Route 3, Lebanon; five sisters, Velma Pruitt and Pauline Esther, both of Lebanon; Freida Breakebill, Cleo Gay and Fern Swadley, all from the state of California.
