Charles Bellows, 70-year-old Woodward resident, died Monday January 31, 2000 at his home. Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in the Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in change of arrangements.
Charles Roscoe Bellows was born July 13 1929 to Roscoe and Laura (Benne) Bellows at their homestead near Harmon, Oklahoma. Charles served in the U.S. Air Force for seven years as a flight engineer, and served in the Korean War. On May 17, 1958 he was married to Jane McLaughlin of Sharon. Later in life Charles married Karen Loucks and to this union two children were born. Charles farmed on the family farm most of his life. He also was a car dealer and a mechanic.
Survivors include seven children; Rocky Bellows and wife Becky of Sharon, Shirley Bellows of Williamsburg Pennsylvania, Teresa Bellows of Enid, Randy Bellows at Colorado Springs Colorado, Daniel Bellows of Sharon, two sons, Carl Albert and James Earl; two sisters Geraldine Reynolds of Woodward County, Xyla Bennett of Elkhart Kansas, nephews, Don Bennett and Sam Reynolds; nieces, Janice McCord, Vada Dressen and Laura Harper; grandchildren, Leslie Bellows, Ricky Bellows, Roxanna Bcllows, Renae Bellows, Roscoe Bellows, Nicole Bellows, Sonny Bellows and Chantelle Hickman; also many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Earl and Frank, and one sister Marie.
He will be fondly remembered by many relatives and friends.
