Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Crye who was born in Vivian November 10, 1899, and had resided here all her life died Monday after a lengthy illness. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. yesterday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Hall officiating, assisted by the Rev. Billy Mathis.

She is survived by her husband Frank Crye, Sr.; one son Frank Crye, Jr.; one daughter, Mrs. James Harris, Vivian, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Lena Yates, Mrs. Alma Thomas, Mrs. C. D. Cornealius, Mrs. Mamie Hughes of Vivian, and Mrs. Mickey Bain of Carthage, Texas.


The obituary states that she had lived in Vivian "all of her life" however the 1900 census records place her and her parents living in Mississippi next door to her mother's brother and father, they regularly moved back and forth from Louisiana to Mississippi it seemed.
