Joseph was born June 16, 1927, in Evanston, Illinois to Oliver Alton & Madonna 'Trefny' Alton.
He was also preceded by, his wife, Jeanne Izilla 'Montgomery' Alton (March 18, 1999); 1 son, Charles Alton (1971); 2 Sisters & 1 Brother.
Joseph was: * a US Navy Veteran of World War II; * a member of Farmington Presbyterian Church & * a retired Insurance Agent.
Survivors Include 2 daughters Constance 'Mrs. Steven' Vandre, of Springfield, MO. & Marcia 'Mrs. James' Cocozza, of Sedalia, MO; 1 SON: Dwight Monty (& Toni) Alton, of Ellisville, MO;
Also surviving are 7 Grandchildren & 6 Great-Grandchildren.
Pursuant to Mr. Alton's wishes, there will be No Local Visitation.
Graveside services will be Friday, 2:00 p.m., June 17, 2005, at Oak Hill Cemetery - 10305 Big Bend Blvd - Kirkwood, MO., with Rev. Jesse Perry officiating, under the direction of Taylor Funeral Service, Inc.
