Pike County, Georgia "Confederate Guards:" Howell, James H. - 1st Corporal July 8, 1861. Wounded at Sharpsburg, Md. September 17, 1862; Gettysburg, Pa. July 2, 1863; Cold Harbor, Va. June 1, 1864. Wounded and captured at Fisher's Hill, Va. September 22, 1864. Paroled at Point Lookout, Md. in 1864.
Received at Venus Point, Savannah River, Ga. for exchange, November 15, 1864. On extension of sick furlough February 28, 1865. No later record.
