Marvin was born December 31, 1936 in Summerfield KS, the son of Arthur and Mable (Brouhard) Volle. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Volle worked for Ashland Oil Company doing road construction for 48.8 years. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and the VFW. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his dogs. He was united in marriage to Patricia Johnson on May 16, 1959. She preceded him in death on August 29, 1981. Survivors include two sons Bill(Sheila) Volle, LeCompton, KS, Dan (Deanna) Volle, Atchison, KS, Four daughters Debbie Volle, Topeka, Beth (Gary) Thompson, Horton, Theresa Miller, Atchison and Janelle Poff, Topeka. Two sisters Velma (Steve) Rogacki, Colorado Springs, CO, Ruby (Chuck-preceded) Roberts, Cottage Grove, OR, sixteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and five brothers; Darrel, Dude, Lawrence, Don and Dale Volle, one sister Alice (Shorty) Pingenot all preceded him in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 28, 2009 at St. Ann's Parish Hall with Father Benjamin Tremmel, OSB, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery.
