William E. Roller of Weyers Cave, died Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock at the King's Daughters' Hospital at Staunton of blood poison. Mr. Roller received a tiny scratch on the back of his left hand about a week ago. Later it began to cause him pain and on last Friday morning he consulted his physician about it and was advised to go to the hospital for treatment. The infection soon spread throughout body and resulted in his death. He was 68 years old.

Mr. Roller was born and reared on the old homestead at Weyers Cave. Later in life he bought the farm and farmed it until his death, He was a very successful farmer and accumulated a great deal of property. He was a devoted member of the Reformed Church, and it is due to his efforts and generous subscriptions that St. Andrew’s Reformed Church was built in Weyers Cave. Never did he fail to emphasize the value of the church and school to the community. He was very charitable, giving meat and bread as well money to the less fortunate in life.

Mr. Roller is survived by his three children; Otho B. and Edgar W. at home, and Charles J. of Salina, Pa.; one brother, A. H. holier, and one sister, Mrs. M. V. Plecker.

The funeral was from St. Andrew's Church at Weyers Cave yesterday morning at eleven o'clock by the Rev. A. W. Wissler, assisted by the Rev. B. L. Stanley.

The pallbearers were as follows: F. M. Wise, Dr. P. J. Landis, Dr. H. G. Middlekauf, N. S. Miller, O. A. Furr, E. M. Shreckhise. Honorary: J. N. Byers, M. D. Lindamood, N. I. Kagey, N. E. Pence, H. A. Rodeffer, A. M. Rubush.
