Final Rites For Clifford Amack


The funeral of Clifford Amack of Superior was held Wednesday, November 14, at the Superior Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Superior.


Clifford Amack died Sunday, November 11m at the age of 62 years, 9 months and 26: days.


Mr. Amack was born near Red Cloud, later moving with his family to Guide Rock. In 1912 they moved to a farm in the Guide Rock area.


He was married in June 1919 to Faylisha Hudson Dixon. Three sons and two daughters were born to them. There were also two step-daughters and a nephew, Armbond Dedrick, who lived with the family for a time.


For many years Mr. Amack was a locomotive engineer at the cement plant at Superior.


Mr. Amack was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Grace Burge and Thelma Keifer, and an infant son.


He is survived by his widow; the daughters, Mrs. Orville Giger of Guide Rock, and Mrs. Dorice Lepre of Arcadia, Calif.; Marceline Olivera of Saratoga, Calif.; Mrs. Darlene Hale of Superior; the sons, Robert of Woodland, Calif.; and Raymond of Superior; one sister, Mrs. Cecil Norris of Clayton, Kansas; the nephew, Armond Dedrick; 21 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.


The Orville Giger family, Mr. and Mrs. Oren Saladen, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Amack and Ed Crary were among the folks who went from here to attend the funeral.
