Anne Marie Shea, LDS ID G3S1-42V, was the daughter of Dora Alice Smith, G3L7-Q8R (1898–1942), and Jesse Linwood Shea, MCKK-XQS (1893–1969).

She married at age 23 in Portsmouth, Virginia, April 25, 1953, Charles Augustus Seijo, LB3X-N93, age 25, Photographer with the US Marine Corps.

They had four sons and three daughters. [Refer to husband's memorial for children.]

Obituary:

NEW BERN - Anne Marie Shea Seijo, 80, of New Bern, died Sept. 30, 2010, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Anne graduated from Maryview Nursing School in Portsmouth, Va. in 1951. After she met and married Charles Seijo, she became a stay-at-home mom to her children. When she returned to nursing she chose Craven Regional Medical Center. She worked 14 years before retiring at 65 in the year 2000. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Seijo and sons, Patrick L. Seijo and Charles Seijo Jr.

She is survived by two sons, Clarence D. Seijo and Walter F. Seijo, both of New Bern; three daughters, Theresa Bessey and Karen Rowe of New Bern; Maria Seijo of Beaufort; one brother, Robert E. Shea of Portsmouth, Va.; one sister, Connie Pomeroy of Virginia Beach, Va.; eight grandchildren, George Bessey, Joyce Bessey, Sarah Ellis, Ray Rowe, II, Rachel Seijo, Lucas Seijo, Anthony Seijo, and Patrick Seijo; and her special niece, Mary L. Williams of Portsmouth, Va.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2010 at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church Building Fund, 3005 Country Club Road, New Bern, N.C. 28560, or donate a pint of blood to the American Red Cross in her honor.
