Kimball is the son of Otis and Sarah (Taylor) Whitney. He was a farmer and carpenter. He resided in Campton and Bristol until 1872 when he purchased the Blair farm in the Lower Intervale section of Plymouth. His son-in-law, Manson Brown, later purchased this property.

Mr. Kimball Whitney and wife, parents of Mrs. Mason Brown, and living in the same house with their daughter, are hale and serene at fourscore. The grip made an attack upon them last winter, but they were victors and came to spring time with songs of gladness. >The Plymouth Record, May 28, 1892, p8.
