Correctionville News, 16 March 1977, page 1: Anna Croxell, daughter of Anders and Ida Charlotte Wester Anderson, was born October 26, 1880, at Amboy in Lee County, Illinois, and passed away March 5, 1977, at Valley View Home in Correctionville at the age of 96 years, 4 months and 7 days. She had been a resident of the home for over twelve years. She moved to Ida Co., Iowa, with her parents as a small child and was confirmed in Bethel Lutheran Church. She had resided in the Correctionville community since 1912. Anna was united in marriage with Champion Pultz on March 22, 1900. To this union one son, Guy, was born. Mr. Pultz preceded her in death in 1934. She was united in marriage with Charles Croxell in 1936 and he preceded her in death on June 4, 1947. Her son also preceded her in death in 1970. She was a long time member of the Correctionville Church of Christ. Services were held Tuesday, March 8, 1977, at 10:30 a.m. in the Barker Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Steele officiating. Final resting place was Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Guy Pultz, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, two brothers, John Anderson of Cleveland, Ohio, and Edward Anderson of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada, one grandson, four great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
