Isaac N. Herlacher

Isaac Newton Herlacher was born at Beaver Springs, Penn., March 18, 1854, and died at his home in Arkansas City, June 28, 1925, aged 71 years, 4 months and 10 days.

He moved with his parents from Pennsylvania to Kansas when he was sixteen years of age, and settled in Haven, Kansas.

He was married April 20, 1884 to May McGuire. They became the parents of three children, Jessie Hassinger of Milan, Kansas, Ambrose of Arkansas City and Paul of Winfield, all of whom are living.

Mr. Herlacher was converted as a youth and united with the Methodist church. With is wife he re-consecrated himself about 20 years ago under the ministry of Rev. Pollard. He died in the Christian faith and had nothing but praise to God as he lived the last trying months of his life.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, his three children and eleven grandchildren.

The funeral services was conducted at the home in Arkansas City, June 30, the Rev. Percy W. Beck, of the First Methodist church, officiating. T.B. Oldroyd & Sons Undertakers. Burial was in Mercer cemetery.
